SHOW JUMPING
DIVISION FOR CHAMPIONSHIPS 2010
Developing Horse or Rider Division
We're thrilled to offer the
Developing Horse or Rider Division at Championships again in 2010. We strongly
suggest that your qualifying rally includes a Take Your Own Line, as it will be
one of the rounds for all levels at Championships. If you have questions or need
guidance please do not hesitate to contact one of our Show Jumping committee
members. We're here for you.
Many of us will be at the Annual Meeting in Houston. Join us for "round table"
discussions specifically about the Developing Horse or Rider Division
as well as other aspects of Show Jumping Regional Rallies and Championships.
Look for our workshops too.
Developing Horse/Rider
Specifications
Open to D3's and up, minimum age 12 yrs., 2'9" - 3', 2 double combinations and
no triple combinations.
This division is designed as an entry level division for the developing rider or
horse. Competitor must qualify for this division at a Regional
Rally per the Show Jumping Rule Book.
All Regional Policies regarding qualification for Championships will apply for
this division.
In the jump off round the maximum height will not exceed 3'.
Note:
1. The committee recommends that this division be added to Championships for a 2
year trial period. 2009 was our first trial year.
2. To qualify for Championships, all qualifying courses at Regional Rallies must
reflect the technical aspects of a championship course.
3. The Show Jumping Committee strongly recommends that qualifiers have less than
12 jumping faults AND THAT THEY HAVE RIDDEN IN A "TAKE YOUR OWN LINE" AT THEIR
REGIONAL, QUALIFYING RALLY as they will be required to do so at Championships
2010.
